When people start to have relationship problems they tend to make things much more difficult than they need to be. It’s not really that hard to identify the problem and work together to fix it…as long as you are working together. This is a common problem, one partner won’t commit to make the changes needed to make the relationship better.

No matter how hard it may be to hear, if that is the case in your relationship than you have no choice but to end it…unless you are willing to stay in a bad relationship. It will take both of you working together to make things better and if one partner is unwilling to work at it, nothing will change.

If both of you are willing to try to make things better – working together – then here are three tips that may help:

1. One of the most important elements in any good relationship is the ability to communicate well. That doesn’t mean that you know how to talk, it means that you know the best way to get your point across without being mean and spiteful. It’s not just about what you say but how you say it. It’s also about how well you listen. Are you really hearing what the other person is trying to say, or are you just hearing the words without looking deeper to the true meaning?

Most of us aren’t poets, and sometimes things don’t come out the right way. Being a good listener means not jumping down your partners throat when they say something wrong, it means trying to understand their point of view and realizing that even though you may not agree with them that they have the right to feel the way they feel and they want your understanding. Don’t forget, some day the shoe will be on the other foot, and you’ll want to try to explain how you’re feeling to your partner, you’ll want them to listen to you, right?

2. Don’t hold your partner up to a higher standard than you hold yourself to. For example, if you don’t want your partner to go out clubbing with their friends, you shouldn’t either. If you want your partner to be a better housekeeper, you should pitch in and help. So many of us are great at telling our partners what they are doing wrong, but we aren’t nearly as good at honestly facing up to our own shortcomings. Maybe if you spent a little more time making sure you were being the best person you could be, you wouldn’t get so frustrated with the failings of your partner.

3. Be realistic as to whether or not you should continue the relationship. Many of us hang on way too long to a bad relationship, and we do it for all the wrong reasons such as fear of loneliness or jealousy over our ex meeting someone else. Relationships are important, and you shouldn’t just run for the door whenever there is a problem, but it’s also important to recognize that sometimes it’s just not working and it never will, and it’s time to leave.

Having a wonderful, loving relationship is one of life’s greatest pleasures, but when you start to have relationship problems it can make you feel more miserable than you ever thought possible. Use these tips to get, or keep, your relationship going strong.

Everyone likes to believe that the relationship they are in is a healthy relationship, but the fact is that many are not. If you want to stop pretending and truly have a wonderful, loving, respectful relationship than look over this list of some tips that will help you achieve that goal.

1. We all feel the temptation to ‘put our best foot forward’ and while that isn’t a bad thing, it’s very easy to take it too far and not really be who you truly are. It’s one thing to use your best manners, but it’s another to pretend you like something that you don’t really like.

When you project a false image of who you really are, you are just setting yourself up for disappointment. You will either have to maintain that phony persona forever or you will eventually have to let your partner see the real you.

Either way it’s not a good situation to be in. Be yourself. You have to have confidence in who you are and if you aren’t confidant enough to be yourself you should hold off dating until you can work on you for a while first.

One of the basic cornerstones of a solid relationship is when both of you accept the other person just as they are. If your partner is constantly trying to make you someone else why would you waste your time? Let them go off and find their perfect someone and you do the same. If they truly love you, then they’ll truly love you and all that you are…good and bad.

2. Learn how to communicate with each other. This is all about talking and listening. It’s about building trust so that you can each have a safe place to express yourself openly and without having to fear being mocked or ridiculed. It’s about finding a healthy way to communicate when something your partner has done bothers you. It’s not about screaming, yelling, getting angry and defensive. If the two of you can learn how to communicate properly, with respect and maturity, you will be well on your way to a great, loving relationship.

3. There is a saying that opposites attract, and that can be true, to a point. The fact of the matter is that while someone who is very different from you might seem exciting and unique at first, over a long time that ‘uniqueness’ can grow very old.

If you and your partner don’t agree on the core things than you are likely to have a very rocky relationship. The two of you don’t have to agree on everything, and as long as you’re both mature enough to respect each other’s opinions, that’s fine. But you should have core values that are similar. For example, religious beliefs, beliefs about fidelity, desire to have children or not, what you consider right and wrong, etc. If your core values are not in sync than you will have a hard time seeing each others point of view and it will lead to a lot of fights.

So many people waste so much time trying to make a bad relationship work when they could have been spending that time in a fun, loving, respectful, healthy relationship if they’d just been a little more careful who they picked for their partner. It’s not about finding someone who is perfect, it’s about finding someone who is perfect for you.

No one can tell you what to do with your life except an expert. They have the answer to your deepest questions because they understand you and know more about things than you thought. TW Jackson, the genius behind the The Magic of Making Up, has helped people who want to make their relationships work. He gives solutions to couples who are about to downhill and end things. Even if you think that it is hopeless, there’s always a way to fix things. The book shows you exactly what to do and say to win your significant other back. You’ll see that there are still endless possibilities out there for everyone.

Things change, even in relationships. It can be sweet some of the times, and can be sour on rainy days. If you’re both mature about it, you are able to cope. Unfortunately, people work in different ways. Not everyone will respond to changes positively. You may actually be the only one trying to do something at all and you wouldn’t want to see yourself in this sorry situation. You only make things work if you try to insist upon things. You will find your partner growing further away from you. He’ll lie and hurt you even further just to push you away. If you just turn back the clock and go back to when mistakes haven’t been made, then maybe you can salvage the relationship.

What you need is an objective eye to see what’s really wrong and to tell you what to do. Purchase The Magic of Making Up if you need help, because it really is able to get you through tough times and bring the love back.

After a breakup, especially early on when you’re still dealing with the pain, you may be wondering if you should get back with your ex. This can be one of the hardest questions to answer since it will require you to be brutally honest about your ex and what your relationship was really like. Here is a proven method should i get back with my ex that will help you figure out whether or not your relationship is something you really want to save.

1. Take a long look at your relationship. If you have any type of abuse in the relationship whether emotional or physical, you should run away and be grateful that you escaped. Physical abuse such as pushing, hitting, punching, kicking, etc is pretty easy to spot.

Emotional abuse can be a little more difficult to identify. If your spouse is continually yelling at you, insulting you, treating you like a servant, making you feel dumb or inferior, these are all signs of emotional abuse. If any of these things are present than you absolutely don’t want to consider getting back with your ex.
Take some time to rebuild your self esteem, get help from a professional if you can, and then when you’re ready start dating again, not before.

2. If one or the other of you has been unfaithful it’s important that the two of you can talk about it openly. If it was an isolated time and the other partner will work on trying to forgive, you may be able to salvage your relationship. If, on the other hand, one partner has a history of infidelity, than that is not likely to ever change and you’d be better off finding someone who can stick to whatever promises they make.

3. Be honest with your reasons for trying to salvage the relationship. Was it really a good, loving relationship that you feel can still bring both of you happiness if you can just work through some issues, or are you just lonely and / or jealous of new people in your ex’s life? If this is the case, and it probably won’t be obvious if it is, you’ll really have to dig deep and be honest to figure it out, than you’d be better off forgetting about your ex and moving on.

4. If the two of you have a long history of fighting over everything no matter how unimportant and you find that you just don’t know how to communicate with each other, this is a major issue in a relationship and it’s not likely to change. If this is the case it’s probably best to just forget about your ex and move on with your life.

It’s easy to run back to a well known relationship, even a bad one, since there is comfort in familiar things. Doing this, though, isn’t always the best option for you. It’s important that you try to take the emotion out of the decision and be honest with yourself about the strengths and weaknesses of your relationship to decide if it’s worth saving. For that purpose use this proven method to decide if you should get back with your ex.

If you are in an unhappy relationship and you’ve really tried to work things out, with no luck, than it’s time to face the sad fact that even though the two of you are still together, your relationship is over. Now comes the hard part…the leaving. Here are some tips that may help you find the strength to sever those ties to a bad relationship so that both of you can move on and find happiness again.

1. The first thing you will need to do is make sure that you’re not running away from the problem. If the relationship is an important one like a long romance, friendship, or a marriage, than you have to be honest with yourself as to whether or not you’ve really tried to deal with the issues. Of course, if your partner is unwilling to try to work on the relationship at all then there’s nothing you can do on your own and it’s time to leave.

Once you’ve thought it out and have come to the conclusion that it’s just time to be done, then you have to find the conviction to finish it. This isn’t the time to waffle back and froth. It will just make the whole process much more difficult and painful. Once you’ve made that decision and really thought it all out carefully, don’t back down because you get scared. Leave.

2. When it comes time to let your partner know that it’s over, and that you’re leaving, you have some options. Of course we’ve all heard the stories of the tacky person who just sent a text message or an email. While it’s usually best to break up in person, if your partner might get violent than by all means send them a text. It’s important that you are as decent about the breakup as possible but that doesn’t mean you have to potentially put yourself at risk.

3. Make sure that when you breakup you make it perfectly clear that you’ve thought it through and that you’re convinced this is the right thing to do. It’s very likely that your partner will try to talk you out of your decision or even try to make you feel guilty. You can’t give in to that pressure, for both of your sakes. You have the right to decide whether or not the relationship is what you want and you have the right to end it whenever you want to.

Make it clear that you don’t want any contact with your ex and you don’t want them to try to call you. Don’t be wishy washy and make it sound like you’re just ‘taking a break’ when you know full well that it’s over. That’s a cowards way out, it makes it easier to get away from a difficult situation but it’s not fair to the other person. If you know that the breakup will be permanent don’t try to sugar coat it by giving your partner false hope of a reconciliation.

If you’re in an unhappy relationship and you’ve tried everything to make things better but the fact is that you and your partner just aren’t that compatible than it’s time for you to leave. Use these tips to make the breakup as easy as possible, for both of you. Good luck.

If you’ve been with someone for a long time and have said, or thought, “our love has grown cold” then here are some things that may help you rekindle the passion you once had.

It is important to remember though that with any long term relationship passion tends to ebb and flow like the tides, and you may not both be at ‘high tide’ at the same time. This can be frustrating but it’s important to understand that it’s perfectly normal and it isn’t any kind of rejection from your partner and it’s not a sign that your relationship is doomed.

This is especially true as you both start to get a little older and / or the stress of work, and family come into play. At these times it’s very important that the two of you are able to talk to each other openly and honestly.

Here are some things you can do to spice things up, some of these are fairly common but others may be new to you, have fun:

1. What did the two of you like to do when you first met? What type of dates did you go on, how did you dress. I’ll bet you both spent more time on your appearance when you first started dating than you do now. This is a simple thing to change. Make your next date night an adventure, really dress up and make it something memorable. Get ready in separate bathrooms if possible so you can regain some of that excitement of seeing each other all dressed up and looking good.

We all tend to fall into ruts and it can really help the two of you feel a connection if you try to recapture some of that early excitement.

2. Everyone wants to feel special and loved, and what better way to make your partner feel loved and special than to surprise them with a little gift, on a Tuesday ( or any day that isn’t a ’special’ day). If you’re going out to get groceries, or dinner, or to the dry cleaners, why not pick up something for your sweetie? It doesn’t have to be anything expensive, and it doesn’t have to just be flowers or candy, but make it something that you know your mate would enjoy.

Maybe a silly card that will make them laugh, how about that movie they’ve always loved, a silly little stuffed animal, whatever. Just as long as it’s something that would have a personal meaning for your partner. Jewelry may be a great gift for some people but it is such a cliche that it may just not seem that personal.

Before you pick out a gift think about the person you’re buying it for and make it something special for them. Don’t limit yourself to candy or jewelry because that’s what the t.v. ads make you think you should do, consider if it’s something your partner would really like…that’s what makes a really great gift.

3. To truly rekindle passion you need to be relaxed, both of you. So if you want to do something special why not take a day and go to a spa for massages? Then out to a nice restaurant, and maybe a play or movie then home to a night of love. Spending the day together doing nothing but relaxing and enjoying each others company is the best way to deepen your bond and increase intimacy.

So, the next time you have the thought: “our love has grown cold” just remember that there are some simple, and fun, things you can do to increase the intimacy between you and your partner.

When your love goes sour, you lock yourself away from the world. It’s hard to deal with reality when everything just reminds you of your ex. You feel as if a part of you has been ripped shred into smithereens. Life goes on. Before you work on the aspects of your failed relationship, you need to work on yourself first.

Then you can move on and try to save your relationship. You talk to them and show them why they should take you back. You even apologize for the things you didn’t do. You make promises and basically beg. Even if you’ve done everything within your power, they become more and more defensive. The further you push, the worse things become. Is this the way to go? No one deserves to go so low. In fact, you should love yourself more. In fact, you will even regret what you do and see that you’ve done things that leave you feeling ashamed.

Love shouldn’t make you look ridiculous. Instead, it should give you a feeling of satisfaction. There are millions of books and magazines that talk about how you should handle relationships. But these things don’t really help much when things just seem to look like it’s beyond saving. T Dub has discovered the true recipe for love. He gives you a step-by-step plan of what to do without making you look like a fool. The key move here is to keep your dignity intact, and that’s the best part about it.
